Kristine now severe tropical storm; parts of Luzon under signal no. 3
Manila: ‘Kristine’ has intensified into a severe tropical storm and is forecast to further intensity until it makes landfall Thursday night or Friday morning, the weather bureau said. In its 5 a.m. advisory Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 was hoisted over the provinces of Isabela, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, the central portion of Abra (Malibcong, Licuan-Baay, Sallapadan, Daguioman, Bucloc, Boliney, Tubo, Luba, Manabo, Bucay, Villaviciosa, Pilar, San Isidro, Peñarrubia), Benguet, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya. TCWS no. 3 is also up in northern and central portions of Aurora
