PNP anti-drug unit seizes nearly P800-M narcotics in Sept.

Manila: Operatives of the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) confiscated almost PHP800 million worth of illegal drugs in September. In a statement Tuesday, PDEG chief Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said these narcotics were seized in 57 anti-drug operations, comprising 38 buy-busts, four search warrant operations, one marijuana eradication operation, and 13 service warrants of arrest. He said these operations resulted in the arrest of 77 drug personalities. These illegal drugs consist of 116.9 kg. of shabu, 2.5 grams of kush (high-grade marijuana) 2 grams of marijuana seeds, 22,000 fully grown marijuana plants, and 3 grams of dried marijuana leaves
