Former Technician Of Production Company Jailed, Caned For Drug Possession

KUALA LUMPUR, The High Court here today ordered a former technician of a production company to serve 10 years in prison sentence and be given 10 strokes of the cane for two counts of drug possession amounting to 217.25 grammes. Judge Datuk Azhar Abdul Hamid handed down the sentence on Zainal Abidin Mohd Ali, 46, after he pleaded guilty to both charges. No More Single-use Plastic Bags At 20 Retail Chains From Oct 1 – Nga

PETALING JAYA, A total of 20 hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, and pharmacy, health, and beauty chains will no longer provide single-use plastic bags at their 8,000 outlets from Oct 1. Most Northern Region Members Have Insufficient Basic Savings, Low Shariah Savings – EPF

GEORGE TOWN, The majority of Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) members in the Northern Region, covering the states of Perlis, Penang, Kedah and Perak, were found to not have sufficient basic savings of at least RM240,000 at the age of 55. Johor, Transport Ministry Finalising Details Of JB Transportation Network To Complement RTS Link

ISKANDAR PUTERI, The Johor state government is finalising the details of a complete local transportation network in Johor Bahru (JB) with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) to complement the Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link), scheduled to begin in January 2027.
