Hi-5 For Health: Celebrating 5 Years Of Healthcare Excellence At Sunway Medical Centre Velocity

KUALA LUMPUR, Sunway Medical Centre Velocity (SMCV) has celebrated its fifth anniversary with a three-day ‘Hi-5 for Health’ festivities which started last Thursday (Sept 19) to commemorate the milestone with Malaysian and international patients the hospital has served over the years. Sufficient Subsidised Polybag Cooking Oil In Penang

GEORGE TOWN, The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) in Penang has assured that the supply of one kilogramme (kg) subsidised polybag cooking oil in the state is sufficient based on monitoring and inspections carried out. Its director S. Jegan said that his team conducts periodic inspections daily and weekly at the manufacturer, packer, wholesaler and even retailer levels to monitor the presence of polybag cooking oil in Penang. He said based on the inspection, it was also found that the distribution of subsidised polybag cooking oil in the state from Sept 1 to 20 was 2,060,000

Strong Earthquake Hits Minahassa Peninsula, Sulawesi

KUALA LUMPUR, A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale has occurred in the Minahassa Peninsula, Sulawesi at 3:51 am. The Meteorological Department of Malaysia in a statement announced that the epicentre of the earthquake was 0.1° south and 122.9° east at a depth of 144 km which was 75km south of Gorontalo, Indonesia. ‘There is however no threat of tsunami to Malaysia,’ according to the statement uploaded on the department’s website.
