At least five people were killed, including an off-duty police officer, during a shooting in the US state of North Carolina, an official said Thursday. The Court of Appeals (CA) has turned down the appeal filed by the city of Valenzuela questioning the valuation of property it seeks to expropriate in Barangay Ugong. The CA denied for lack of merit the city’s motion for reconsideration and affirmed its May 2021 decision that sided with a lower court’s decision.
