Inmates register for 2022 polls

Persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) will be allowed to vote during the May 9, 2022 elections but only within the jail premises on the same day and under the supervision of a special board of election inspectors (BEIs). ’Jolina’ dampens Luzon, to make landfall in Batangas

Severe Tropical Storm Jolina continues to bring rains across Luzon and is about to make landfall over the Lobo – San Juan area in Batangas. The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Manila on Wednesday suspended classes due to bad weather in the National Capital Region (NCR) caused by Severe Tropical Storm Jolina. “Due to inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm Jolina and as (the weather bureau) PAGASA raised Tropical Storm Signal No. 2 in Metro Manila, classes in all private elementary and secondary schools in the City of Manila is hereby suspended today, Sept. 8, 2021 (Wednesday),” SDO Manila Superintendent, Dr. Magdalena Lim, said in an advisory.
