San Juan City: Around 1,029 low-income families are expected to benefit from the new housing project in San Juan City under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, Malaca±ang said Thursday. In a Palace press briefing, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro announced the Makabagong San Juan Pambansang Pabahay project as the first housing initiative in San Juan City under the 4PH Program.
According to Philippines News Agency, the project aligns with the administration’s aim to provide decent and affordable housing to marginalized families. The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development led the groundbreaking of the Makabagong San Juan Pambansang Pabahay project. Castro highlighted that the project is expected to deliver 1,029 housing units, each measuring 25 square meters.
Located in Brgy. Batis in San Juan City, the 30-story building will feature 1,029 housing units equipped with modern amenities, including a multipurpose area and other essential facilities. The new housing project aims to offer affordable and dignified housing for local families.
During the groundbreaking ceremony on March 18, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to accelerating housing projects in response to Marcos’ directive. Acuzar emphasized that the DHSUD will continue working closely with local governments and key shelter agencies to ensure the timely delivery of quality homes.
