The Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has removed the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) negative test result as one of the requirements for fully vaccinated travelers to Pangasinan.
In a phone interview on Wednesday, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office information (PPPO) officer Lt. Col. Ferdinand de Asis said this applies to authorized persons outside of residence (APORs) and non-APORs who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
“For APORs, they only need to show their identification card (ID), vaccination card, and a travel order or itinerary or appointment, or any other proof of authority to travel at the border checkpoint,” he said.
De Asis said non-APORs need to show their valid ID, vaccination card, and secure a Travel Pass-through Permit (TPP) from Safe, Swift and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) with auto systems approval without awaiting approval from local government unit (LGU) of a travel destination to secure a travel coordination permit (TCP).
The PPPO is in-charge of border control checkpoints.
He added returning residents who are fully vaccinated only need to present at the border checkpoint TPP, printed copy or soft copy in an electronic gadget, along with their vaccination card and any company or government-issued ID.
De Asis said travelers passing through Pangasinan going to other provinces are required to register at S-PaSS and present a valid ID indicating residential address or address of destination at the border checkpoint.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated travelers should secure a TPP from S-PaSS, show their valid ID, and a negative RT-PCR or antigen test results valid three days before travel.
All tourists are required to register with Pangasinan Tara Na at https://pangasinan.tarana.ph/.
However, in case a certain town or city in Pangasinan is reclassified as restricted, travelers will again be required to register at S-PaSS and secure TCP from LGU of destination prior to their entry in Pangasinan, de Asis said.
The PPPO reiterated the travel requirements to the public as the Christmas season nears when travelers or returning residents are expected to flock to the province.
The protocol was set starting November 1 when the province’s status was downgraded to modified general community quarantine by the national Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
In his Executive Order No. 0151, Governor Amado Espino III said non-APORs and tourists from areas under enhanced community quarantine, modified enhanced community quarantine, granular lockdown, Alert Level 5, and Alert Level 4 for persons below 18 years of age and those belonging to the vulnerable population are not allowed entry in the province.
