Bangsamoro: Police confiscated PHP3.4 million worth of shabu and 20 loose firearms in a weeklong anti-crime drive across the Bangsamoro region, officials reported Monday (Nov. 17, 2025).
According to Philippines News Agency, Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, regional police director, stated that the operation from Nov. 10 to 15 also resulted in the arrest of 16 most wanted persons. The campaign further led to the recovery of carjacked vehicles and the arrest of seven suspects.
Police efforts also led to the confiscation of over PHP680,000 worth of smuggled cigarettes at checkpoints in Maguindanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur. De Guzman praised the operating units for their persistent efforts in combating illegal activities across the region.
