Manila: The shear line, northeast monsoon, and easterlies will persist in bringing rains to various regions of the Philippines, as reported by the national weather bureau on Saturday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) explained in its 4 a.m. bulletin that areas such as Isabela, Aurora, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, and Camarines Norte are expected to experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the influence of the shear line.

According to Philippines News Agency, PAGASA has issued warnings of potential flash floods or landslides in these regions, attributed to moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. In addition, the northeast monsoon is forecasted to cause cloudy skies with light rains across Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and other parts of the Cagayan Valley.

The northeast monsoon will also result in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the
remainder of Central Luzon and Calabarzon. Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, influenced by the easterlies.

PAGASA noted that moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon. The remainder of the archipelago will see light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions.
