Manila: Patrick Tambalque and Gabriela Sison ruled their respective divisions in the 15-18 category of the ICTSI Riviera Golf Junior PGT Championship in Silang, Cavite Thursday. Tambalque carded a final round 78 and 226 total in the boys’ division to secure his third title after Sherwood Hills and Caliraya Springs in the series organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc.

According to Philippines News Agency, Shinichi Suzuki, the Splendido leg winner and runner-up at Eagle Ridge, tallied 227 after a 76 to finish second. Kristoffer Nadales placed third after a 75 and 233 total, followed by Zachary Villaroman with a 79-237. Tambalque now leads in the overall rankings with 45 points, assuring him a slot in the Elite Junior Finals set at The Country Club in Laguna on Oct. 7-10. Villaroman is at No. 2 with 40 points, followed by Suzuki (39) and Nadales (22).

Meanwhile, Sison closed out with an 85 to dominate the girls’ division with a 266 aggregate. Chloe Rada carded an 89 but still secured second place with a 276 total after Angelica Ba±ez and Tiffany Bernardino skipped the final round. Ayesha Salino was third with a 365 after a 123.

Tambalque and Sison joined the Edoc siblings – Zoji (7-10) and Zianbeau (11-14) – along with Ronee Dungca (7-10) and Mona Sarines (11-14) on the winners’ podium. The last two legs of the Luzon series will be held at Pradera Verde in Pampanga (Aug. 12-14) and Pinewoods in Baguio (Aug. 19-21). The top four performers from each Luzon age-group category will face the best from the Visayas-Mindanao series.
