Manila: Agriculture and infrastructure damage from the combined effects of tropical cyclones Luis, Maymay, Neneng, and Pilandok, along with the southwest monsoon, has so far reached around PHP12.4 billion. Data released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) showed that estimated agriculture damage reached around PHP4.1 billion, while infrastructure damage is around PHP8.3 billion.

According to Philippines News Agency, agriculture damage was reported in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cordillera, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas. The affected farmers and fisherfolk in these regions totaled 92,868, with the affected crop area estimated to be around 80,274.94 hectares. The NDRRMC noted that approximately 56,786.88 hectares of these damaged crop areas have a chance of recovery, while 23,488.06 hectares do not have any chance of recovery.

Infrastructure damage was recorded in the Ilocos Region, Cordillera, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas. The NDRRMC reported that around 3,758 houses in seven regions were damaged, with 603 completely destroyed. Fatalities reported in this update numbered 44, with 12 confirmed to have been caused by severe weather disturbances. Additionally, 18 persons were reported injured, while five remain missing.
