Manila: A shear line affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas will bring moderate to heavy rains to select provinces until Wednesday noon. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) 5 p.m. bulletin on Sunday stated that the provinces expected to be affected until Tuesday noon include Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar.

According to Philippines News Agency, Palawan News reported heavy flooding in several villages in Puerto Princesa City and other southern towns on Sunday following two days of heavy rainfall. The communities impacted by the flooding are San Miguel, San Pedro, San Manuel, San Jose, Tagburos, Sta. Lourdes, Tiniguiban, Sicsican, Irawan, Iwahig, and Bancao-Bancao.

The forecast indicates that from Tuesday noon until Wednesday noon, shear-line affected areas will include Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora, with only Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur remaining from the previous list. Additional weather conditions include cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Caraga and Davao Regions, and cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon in Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and Calabarzon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon, while the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies. No low-pressure area is being monitored for tropical cyclone formation. Sunrise on Monday is at 6:22 a.m.
