PNP Denies Fugitive Charlie “Atong” Ang Hiding in Caraga

Caraga: Acting Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. announced that there is no information suggesting that fugitive businessman Charlie "Atong" Ang is hiding in the Caraga Region. This statement was made during a press conference at the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 in Caraga.

According to Philippines News Agency, Ang is facing charges of kidnapping with homicide in connection to missing cockfighting enthusiasts. Despite the lack of evidence suggesting Ang's presence in Caraga, Lt. Gen. Nartatez has instructed the PRO-13 to intensify their efforts to locate him. He emphasized the role of local cockfighting enthusiasts in the search, urging them to assist the police in their efforts.

Nartatez also highlighted that six of Ang's co-accused have already been apprehended. The PNP is committed to using all available resources and is coordinating with international agencies in their efforts to capture Ang.
