Manila: The Philippine Navy (PN) announced on Wednesday that its longstanding ties with the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) have been further solidified following a high-level meeting between officials from both naval services held on June 22 at Naval Station Jose Andrada, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.
According to Philippines News Agency, the meeting saw PN chief, Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta, welcoming RBN commander, First Admiral Sahibul Bin Haji Zainal Abidin. The discussions focused on mutual interests and opportunities to enhance the naval partnership between the two nations. Vice Admiral Ezpeleta highlighted the enduring and evolving relationship between the countries, which has been in place for over four decades.
The visit by the RBN underscored the commitment of both nations to a partnership that not only contributes to regional peace and stability but also fosters continuous exchanges aimed at strengthening institutional ties between their navies. Vice Admiral Ezpeleta expressed eagerness to pursue further cooperative endeavors with RBN, acknowledging their shared maritime goals.
