Pasay city: The intensified membership campaign of the Pag-IBIG Fund Antique branch has led to it recording the highest number of members among small branches across the country.
According to Philippines News Agency, Antique Branch Manager Donald Alton Cahilo reported a 139.37 percent accomplishment with 23,026 members as of June 2025, surpassing the target of 16,522 members set for small branches. In recognition of this achievement, Cahilo received an award during the State of the Funds Address at the Lansons Hotel in Pasay City on August 8.
In May, Cahilo collaborated with the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office in Western Visayas to transfer the membership records of over 5,013 employees in Antique to their branch. Additionally, orientations were conducted with barangay officials, resulting in the membership or reactivation of officials from San Remigio and Anini-y in the Pag-IBIG Fund.
The branch also engaged in door-to-door visits to employers to encourage employee membership. The Antique provincial government contributed significantly to the membership increase, with all 1,242 regular employees being Pag-IBIG members.
Meanwhile, Cahilo noted the approval of 1,419 applications for calamity loans in the province. Antique was placed under a state of calamity on July 24 due to adverse weather conditions, and the branch has been processing calamity loan applications since July 25, offering a 5.95 percent annual interest rate until October 24, 2025.
