Over 10.6K Job Vacancies at Iloilo City’s Charter Day Job Fair

Iloilo city: The Charter Day job fair in Iloilo City is set to offer approximately 10,650 job vacancies for aspiring candidates at Robinsons Place Iloilo this Friday.

According to Philippines News Agency, Iloilo City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Gabriel Felix Umadhay announced that 120 employers are participating in this one-day event. These include 93 local companies, 15 business process outsourcing firms, and 12 accredited overseas recruitment agencies.

Umadhay highlighted that overseas employers are ready to hire as long as applicants possess necessary documents such as a resume, passport, and valid identification. Approximately 10 percent of the jobs offered are for overseas positions, with the remainder available for domestic employment. The overseas job openings include skilled workers for restaurant services like baristas, cooks, and sous chefs, as well as positions in the service industry for roles such as housekeepers, carpenters, shield-metal welders, plumbers, and drivers with National Competency II. Additionally, there is a demand for nurses eligible for the National Council Licensure Examination in Europe and the United States.

For local employment, the most in-demand positions are for nurses, administrative staff, and sales and marketing professionals. There is also a call for workers in the service industry. Alongside job opportunities, the fair will provide employment assistance through the Social Security System, the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., and Pag-IBIG. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will also be present to offer on-the-spot training scholarships in celebration of the National Tech-Voc Day.
