Cagayan de Oro: Police officers handling internal investigations in Northern Mindanao are urged to stay updated on laws and policies to uphold professionalism and integrity within the force. During a visit to the Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) headquarters on Tuesday, Brig. Gen. Cresenciano Landicho, executive officer of the Philippine National Police’s Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management, emphasized the importance of maintaining good conduct and ensuring no laws are violated, even within the organization.
According to Philippines News Agency, Landicho addressed 50 administrative police investigators attending a two-day training on Administrative Disciplinary Mechanisms at Camp Alagar. He stated, ‘If you are armed with knowledge of the law, you will be impartial, competent, and no one will question your credibility.’
The training, set to conclude on January 29, included a refresher course on the basics of criminal investigations. Landicho stressed that familiarity with applicable laws and policies is crucial for maintaining the police force’s efficiency in serving the public.
