Baguio: The Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) on Tuesday announced that three more residential lessees have signed agreements for extended stays within Camp John Hay.
According to Philippines News Agency, new 25-year residential lease agreements were finalized on January 16 and 17. These agreements involve a 427-square-meter country estate unit, a 449-square-meter country homes unit, and a 275-square-meter forest cabin, as stated by Leilani Barlongay-Macasaet, BCDA’s vice president for Public Affairs. BCDA manages this former United States military rest and recreation facility, having taken over approximately 240 hectares of prime property in early January, following a Supreme Court decision.
In recent developments, BCDA also secured a 15-year commercial lease agreement with Amare La Cucina, a renowned pizza chain in Baguio, for over 1,500 square meters. Upcoming lease agreements include Top Taste and Trading Inc., a specialty cafe and restaurant, for an 800-square-meter property, and Metro Pacific Investment Corporation for a 25-year residential lease for two forest cabin units.
In December, Stern Real Estate and Development Corporation inked a 25-year commercial lease to maintain operations at Le Monet Hotel and Filling Station. The MVP Group-led Landco Pacific took on interim management roles for The Manor, Forest Lodge, and CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center.
Additionally, a new consortium consisting of Golfplus Management Inc. and DuckWorld PH was established to manage the operations and maintenance of the Camp John Hay golf course during an interim period. BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang highlighted that these developments are pivotal in realizing the vision for Camp John Hay as a thriving community while ensuring forest conservation.
