Mixed Oil Price Adjustments Announced for June; LPG Prices Continue to Fall

Manila: Oil firms are set to implement new pump price adjustments effective June 3.

According to Philippines News Agency, Cleanfuel, Caltex, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell will increase gasoline prices by 40 centavos per liter and diesel prices by 30 centavos per liter. These adjustments mark the third consecutive week of gasoline price hikes. Meanwhile, kerosene prices will see a decrease of 10 centavos per liter, as announced by Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell, marking the second consecutive week of decline for kerosene.

In a related development, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have continued their downward trend in June, marking the fourth straight month of reductions. Petron has reduced its LPG prices by PHP1.75 per kilogram, while Solane-branded LPG has decreased by PHP1.64 per kilogram. This reduction has brought the price of an 11-kg LPG cylinder down by PHP18.04 to PHP19.25.

The Department of Energy provided an update on current fuel prices in Metro Manila, indicating that gasoline prices range from PHP44 to PHP73.20 per liter, diesel prices from PHP44 to PHP67.47 per liter, and kerosene prices from PHP67.70 to PHP82.94 per liter. Last month’s LPG prices ranged from PHP845 to PHP1,116 for an 11-kg cylinder.
