Davao city: The Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) has reiterated its commitment to supporting the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), with a focus on transforming vulnerable communities into centers of opportunity, dignity, and peace.

According to Philippines News Agency, MinDA Secretary Leo Tereso Magno expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of prosecutors, law enforcers, social workers, and advocates in combating trafficking in persons, online sexual exploitation of children, and modern slavery during the IACAT National Summit 2026 Solidarity Night on Thursday. Magno highlighted the importance of addressing exploitation to achieve prosperity, emphasizing that vulnerable communities must be protected to build a better Philippines.

Magno further stated that the inter-agency initiative aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call for cooperation across government agencies and sectors, ensuring that peace and progress are pursued collectively. He noted that strengthening local economies, expanding access to education and livelihood, and protecting vulnerable communities are vital to advancing the President's vision of inclusive development as the foundation for lasting peace.

The Solidarity Night concluded the five-day IACAT Task Force Summit 2026, which was hosted by the Regional Anti-Child Online Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking Task Force-Davao (RACETTF-11). Regional Prosecutor Janet Grace B. Dalisay-Fabrero, head of RACETTF-11, emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fight against traffickers, urging for stronger partnerships and shared expertise to ensure that victims are protected and perpetrators are brought to justice.
