LTO Impounds Unregistered Lamborghini Huracan With No Front Plate

Muntinlupa: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has impounded a Lamborghini Hurac¡n for not having a front license plate and being unregistered. LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao stated that the vehicle was initially stopped on the Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) due to the absence of a front license plate and was subsequently found to be unregistered.

According to Philippines News Agency, the driver was issued a temporary operator’s permit following the incident. The luxury vehicle is currently impounded at the LTO Central Office after the Bureau of Customs (BOC) issued a warrant of seizure and detention due to ‘misdeclaration’.

Lacanilao highlighted the LTO’s ongoing efforts to combat illegal registration, smuggling, and the use of fake importation documents for motor vehicles. He mentioned that the LTO is working closely with the BOC to thoroughly investigate the incident, determine accountability, and enforce appropriate legal actions.

The LTO assures the public of maintaining a correct and transparent process for vehicle registration and emphasizes that no individual or entity will be permitted to bypass transportation regulations.
