Lone Bettor in Tarlac Bags P223-M Ultra Lotto Jackpot

Tarlac City: A lone bettor from Tarlac province became a multimillionaire after winning the PHP223-million Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot on Sunday night’s draw. In a statement on Monday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that the winner placed the bet at Maliwalo, Tarlac City, and successfully picked the winning numbers 09-11-02-23-26-07.

According to Philippines News Agency, the winner has one year to claim the PHP223,728,165.20 jackpot at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City by presenting the winning ticket and two identification cards. Lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax, as mandated by regulations. Should the prize remain unclaimed within a year, it will be forfeited.

In the same draw, 116 other bettors won PHP120,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six winning digits. Additionally, 4,148 bettors will receive PHP2,000 each for four correct digits, while 46,708 others will get PHP100 each for three correct digits. The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is scheduled every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The PCSO has encouraged the public to continue supporting the games, emphasizing that a significant portion of the revenues is allocated to the government’s charity programs.
