Pasay City: The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to offer nearly 5,000 job vacancies at the fourth installment of its Project DAPAT (DOLE Action Plan and Transition) Job Fair in Pasay City on Jan. 28 and 29. The event at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. aims to assist displaced workers from the Internet Gaming Licensees (IGL) sector by connecting them with employers across various industries in Metro Manila.

According to Philippines News Agency, as of posting time, 126 local employers and six overseas companies have confirmed their participation, representing the finance, shipping and logistics, food and beverage, retail, and business process outsourcing sectors.

To facilitate a seamless application process, DOLE-National Capital Region will establish a one-stop-shop at the venue, featuring agencies like the Social Security System, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Pag-IBIG Fund, National Bureau of Investigation, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Philippine Statistics Authority.

The initiative is part of DOLE’s response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to support displaced workers following the ban on all IGLs, formerly known as Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators. The event is organized by JobStreet by SEEK PH in partnership with DOLE Metro Manila, Makati and Pasay field offices, and the Pasay City’s Public Employment Service Office.
