Mandaluyong city: The University of Santo Tomas (UST) will try to keep its winning form against the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta during the V-League College Challenge at the Gameville Central Park in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Golden Tigresses and the Lady Altas are set to square off at 12 noon in another quadruple-header. This match is a make-up for the August 30 matchday that was postponed due to bad weather. Margaret Altea led UST with 21 points on 16 attacks, three aces, and two blocks, leading to a 24-26, 25-17, 25-23, 20-25, 15-5 victory against the University of the East (UE) last Saturday.
The win improved the Golden Tigresses' record to 2-1. Meanwhile, UE aims to recover from a two-game skid when it battles San Beda University at 10 a.m. Both UE, San Beda, and Perpetual currently have identical 1-2 records. Defending champion Adamson University and Arellano University share the lead with a 4-0 record.
In the men's division, reigning UAAP champion National University will face Mapua at 3 p.m., while De La Salle University takes on winless UST at 5 p.m. The Bulldogs hold a 2-1 card after losing to the Letran Knights, 31-29, 24-26, 25-17, 18-25, 11-15, on August 22.
