KUALA LUMPUR,, The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher in line with COMEX gold prices.
At the close, the spot month July 2024 contract improved to US$2,419.60 per troy ounce from US$2,387.00 per troy ounce yesterday.
Contracts for August 2024, September 2024, October 2024, December 2024, and February 2025 rose to US$2,433.00 per troy ounce from US$2,400.40 per troy ounce previously.
Volume fell to 27 lots from 36 lots on Tuesday, while open interest decreased to 40 contracts from 58 contracts previously.
The price of physical gold stood at US$2,390.25 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on July 30.
