Manila: Easterlies and northeast monsoon, locally known as ‘amihan’, are set to bring cloudy skies with rains across the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

According to Philippines News Agency, the weather bureau’s 4 a.m. bulletin indicated that regions such as Caraga, Davao Region, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the influence of easterlies.

The northeast monsoon will continue to affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, resulting in cold weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated light rains. Meanwhile, the remainder of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms, also due to the easterlies.

Northern and central Luzon are expected to have moderate to strong northeast winds, along with moderate coastal waters. The temperature across these areas is predicted to range between 22.2 °C and
31.6 °C.
