Manila: Diesel prices in the Philippines are expected to rise significantly, with increases as high as PHP5.77 per liter, according to the Department of Energy (DOE). Kerosene prices are also projected to experience a substantial hike, potentially reaching up to PHP8.10 per liter this week.
According to Philippines News Agency, the DOE released data indicating fluctuations in fuel prices. While gasoline prices might see a slight decrease of PHP1.70 per liter, they could also increase by up to PHP0.30 per liter. Diesel prices are projected to rise between PHP3.77 to PHP5.77 per liter, and kerosene prices could see an increase ranging from PHP6.10 to PHP8.10 per liter.
Seaoil has announced through an advisory that it will implement price hikes starting at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Gasoline prices will increase by PHP0.30 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will see price hikes of PHP5.77 and PHP8.10 per liter, respectively. Similarly, Petron disclosed plans to raise gasoline prices by PHP0.30 per liter, diesel by PHP4.85 per liter, and kerosene by PHP4.75 per liter.
The DOE has also provided insights into the country's fuel supply. As of June 5, 2026, the gasoline supply is adequate for 44.81 days, diesel for 45.21 days, and kerosene for 143.09 days. Furthermore, jet fuel supply is sufficient for approximately 73.25 days, fuel oil for 41.01 days, and liquefied petroleum gas for 45.04 days.
Energy officials have assured the public regarding the adequacy of the domestic supply. The combined reserves from the government and private sectors, alongside ongoing measures, are aimed at maintaining supply stability.
