Chiefs Overwhelm Stags in NCAA Basketball Showdown

San juan: Arellano University defeated San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 98-72, Monday in the NCAA Season 102 men's basketball at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

According to Philippines News Agency, T-Mc Jeadan Ongotan finished with 23 points, six assists, and three steals as the Chiefs dominated the game, posting their biggest lead at 84-55. Coach Chico Manabat expressed pride in the team's preparation, stating, "We prepared physically and mentally. They might not see what we're doing, but aside from that, the players have committed themselves to this [season]." He emphasized the players' perseverance, noting, "They played until the end. We saw that so-called killer instinct."

Sebastian Valencia and Renzo Abiera contributed 12 points each for Arellano, which took a commanding 61-36 lead at halftime. Charles Libang added nine points, while Karl Flores and Anjord Cabotaje scored eight points each. King Vinoya contributed six points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

For the Stags, Matt Acosta delivered a noteworthy performance with 13 points and 11 rebounds. John Ynot also scored 13 points, along with three rebounds and three steals, while Alwin Alforque and Christian Ricio each added eight points.
