Less than P1 oil price hike set Oct. 1

Manila: Oil firms will increase pump prices at the start of October. In separate advisories, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell announced that they will hike gasoline and diesel prices by PHP0.45 and PHP0.90 per liter. Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also increase kerosene prices by PHP0.30 per liter. Last week, oil companies implemented a PHP1.20 per liter increase for gasoline and PHP0.20 per liter hike for diesel, while there was no adjustment on kerosene prices. With the recent price movement, year-to-date prices of gasoline and diesel had a net increase of PHP5.85 and PHP1.95 per liter, respectively.

ROTC bill now a top priority at the Senate

Manila: The Senate will prioritize Senate Bill (SB) No. 2034, or the proposed Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Act, as soon as session resumes in November, Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino said on Monday. Tolentino made the assurance after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. gave his approval in the recent Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) meeting. ‘With the President’s go signal, the ROTC bill has been moved to Tier 1 from Tier 2 in the list of the LEDAC – making it a top priority. 3D Images Bring Taiping’s Heritage To Life

IPOH, The Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) has assembled several 3D murals depicting Taiping’s historical heritage. Average Life Expectancy Of Babies Born In 2024 Is 75.2 Years – DOSM

PUTRAJAYA, A baby born in 2024 is expected to live, on average, up to 75.2 years, according to the Abridged Life Tables, Malaysia, 2022-2024 findings released by the Department of Statistics (DOSM).
