BJMP, Red Cross launch system on better health services for PDLs

Manila: The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have launched an online system aimed at improving health care services for persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the bureau’s facilities. Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is ramping up preparations as it expects a passenger surge as the country observes All Saints and Souls Days on Nov. 1 and 2, the airport chief said on Wednesday. MetMalaysia Warns Of Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain In Sabah, Labuan And Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain in a number of states until 3am (Oct 17). MetMalaysia in a statement issued at 10pm informed that thunderstorms are forecast in Sarawak, affecting Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Miri (Marudi) and Limbang.
