PCG, OTS sign accord for port, maritime transport security

MANILA: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) have signed an agreement for the security of international ships and ports and joint training initiatives. KUALA LUMPUR, The government is taking steps to diversify the domestic economic portfolio to reduce the deficit in the workers’ compensation account, said the Ministry of Finance (MoF). MetMalaysia Warns Of Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain In Sabah, Labuan And Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR, The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms and heavy rain in a number of states until 3am (Oct 17). MetMalaysia in a statement issued at 10pm informed that thunderstorms are forecast in Sarawak, affecting Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Miri (Marudi) and Limbang. Similar conditions are forecast in Labuan and Sabah and the affected areas include the interior areas (Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan) as well as Sandakan (Tongod and Sandakan). Online Crime Cases Up By 35.5 Per Cent In 2023 – DOSM

KUALA LUMPUR, The number of online crime cases reported to the police last year rose by 35.5 per cent to 34,532 compared with 25,479 the previous year. The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said there was an increase in all six online crime categories, namely telecommunications crime, e-finance, love scam, e-commerce, non-existent loan and non-existent investment, with e-commerce crimes recording the highest increase at 33.2 per cent. “This is followed by telecommunications crimes (30 per cent), non-existent investments (15.6 per cent), non-existent loans (12.3 per cent), e-finance (6.1 per cent) and love scams (2.7 per cent),’ it said in a

PUTRAJAYA, The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has never issued any statement or text message using the name of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as circulated through the WhatsApp application.
