Manila: During calamities, pets, including stray animals, often find themselves at risk. DHSUD orders moratorium on housing amortization for ‘Kristine’ victims

Manila: The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has ordered its key shelter agencies (KSAs) to implement a moratorium on housing amortization for their members affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami). DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar said the move complies with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to all government agencies to extend any available assistance to victims of Kristine. DPWH deploys teams, equipment to storm-hit areas; 68 roads reopened

Manila: A total of 9,005 personnel and 2,048 units of heavy equipment, through its Quick Response Assets, have been deployed to areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported Saturday. In a statement, the DPWH said the resources have been strategically positioned to expedite debris clearing and road repairs to reopen critical transport routes as quickly as possible. Manila: The Philippines has addressed all the 18 strategic deficiencies identified by the Paris-based financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and could exit the ‘grey list’ by 2025. Manila: The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.’s (PAGCOR) massive relief drive for areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami) began Thursday as it sent out an initial 5,000 relief packs out of the 53,000 packs it has prepared.
