Tehran: Armed assailants ambushed two police patrol units and exchanged fire with them in southeastern Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province on Saturday, killing at least 10 police officers, state media reported. Batangas: The death toll in Batangas province following the devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (Trami) has reached 59, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) on Sunday. Sixteen remained missing and 18 were injured. The most affected are the cities of Lipa and Calaca, and the towns near Taal Lake like Lemery, Calatagan, Talisay, Laurel and Agoncillo. DSWD provides psychosocial aid to families of ‘Kristine’ fatalities

Manila: The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Sunday said its Calabarzon Field Office (FO-4A) has started providing psychosocial services and financial aid to families of those who perished during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Kristine in the region.
