Butuan City: The Police Regional Office-Caraga (PRO-13) has developed a comprehensive security plan to ensure the safety of tourists visiting the region during the summer vacation. At least 1,682 personnel will be deployed to secure destinations, while 77 assistance desks will be established at strategic points in the region to provide security and assistance to commuters and tourists.

Jennifer Omiter stated in an interview that, in addition to police personnel, support from other security sectors in the region and force multipliers in cities and municipalities will be received. Coordination is underway with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, and local government units for unified efforts to keep the region safe during the peak tourist season, which includes Holy Week from April 13 to 19 and various festivals.
PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano emphasized that their top priority is to prevent crime in communities and in key places of convergence, such as transport terminals and tourist sites. He urged the public to be vigilant and cooperate with the safety measures undertaken by the PNP, encouraging them to report any suspicious persons or activities to authorities.
