Camcam Captures 4 Titles in Pagadian Junior Tennis

Pagadian City: Izabelle Camcam of Muntinlupa City claimed four titles at the PPS-PEPP Governor’s Cup National Tennis Championships held at the DAO Sports Complex in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Camcam, the top-seeded player, secured the U14 singles title by defeating No. 2 seed Zaia Gumbao in a closely contested match, 7-5, 7-6(5). She also emerged victorious in the U16 final against the same opponent with a score of 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (4).

According to Philippines News Agency, Camcam demonstrated her prowess in doubles as well. She teamed up with Keuzaifah Ordiz to dominate Micah Abanto and Germaine Rizon, 8-0, in the U14 doubles final. Later, she partnered with Juliana Tenepre to clinch the U18 doubles title, overcoming Sanschena Francisco and Gumbao, 8-3.

In the boys’ division, top seed Tyrone Caro defeated Dioford Cabatingan, 6-3, 6-2, to win the U12 singles title. However, Caro faced defeat against top-seeded Prince Centino in the U14 final, with scores of 6-4, 3-6, 1-6.

Other notable winners included Juliana Tenepre, who bested Sanschena Francisco, 6-2, 6-4, in the girls’ U18 category, and Al Rashid Arasad, who won over Paul Albano by walkover in the boys’ U18. Kennedy Gumera triumphed over Lemmar Sugue, 6-2, 6-1, in the boys’ U16, while Frances Rigodon overcame Bless Labadisos, 3-6, 6-4, 6-0, in the girls’ U12. In the unisex U10 category, Francis Dadan defeated Shaun Natividad, 5-3, 2-4, 10-7.

In other doubles action, Vanizer Acabo and Prince Centino defeated Andrei Buhat and Cabatingan, 8-2, in the boys’ U14 final. Jiden Donaire and Lance Fuentes dominated Adrian Abanto and Jayson Pa±ares, 8-0, in the boys’ U18 doubles final.
