Biliran: The Biliran provincial government is actively visiting public high schools across the province to deliver essential services and engage with teachers and students regarding their concerns. This initiative is part of the ‘Sagip Edukasyon’ program, which aims to reach all 23 national high schools within the year.
According to Philippines News Agency, Governor Rogelio Espina announced that the campus tour includes providing medicines and hot meals to both teachers and students. The program also addresses various issues faced by educators and learners. Governor Espina launched the program on July 23 at Lucsoon National High School (LNHS) in Naval, the province’s capital town.
During the visit, Governor Espina identified a need for a classroom dedicated to the technical-vocational livelihood track, a component of the senior high school program. He also observed overcrowding in some classrooms, emphasizing the urgency of addressing these issues. “The technical-vocational livelihood course for senior high school will be abolished if there is no classroom available. We will attend to this immediately to save our technical-vocational course at LNHS,” Espina stated.
The governor’s office team has been working closely with school heads to ensure thorough preparation for the campus visits, aiming to maximize the benefits of the program for students and teachers alike.
