Makati city: Ayala Land Hospitality has announced a strategic partnership with hotel giant Hilton to open the first Canopy by Hilton hotel in Makati City by 2026. The hotel will be strategically positioned above the new One Ayala development, marking a significant addition to the city’s hospitality landscape.
According to Philippines News Agency, Ayala Land Hospitality’s president and chief executive officer, George Aquino, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re thrilled to team up with Hilton to bring Canopy’s vibrant spirit to Manila. It’s not just about adding rooms-it’s about creating stays that spark curiosity and celebrate Filipino creativity. This exciting collaboration brings us closer to our goal of shaping the Philippines into a must-visit destination, one unforgettable stay at a time.”
The new hotel will boast 400 rooms and suites across 24 stories, offering a mix of sleek urban escapes and spacious suites. Maria Ariizumi, Hilton’s vice president for development in Southeast Asia, highlighted the significance of introducing the Canopy brand to the Philippines. She emphasized that Metro Manila is poised for a fresh perspective on hospitality, and Canopy’s lifestyle approach is anticipated to appeal to both local and international guests.
Alexandra Murray, Hilton’s area vice president and regional head for Southeast Asia, noted the Philippines’ reputation as a vibrant and dynamic destination, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and welcoming people. She added that Makati remains a favored destination among travelers seeking urban sophistication, culture, and lifestyle experiences.
