Army Honors Its 2025 Bar Passers

Taguig city: The Philippine Army (PA) on Friday honored six of its military and civilian personnel who successfully hurdled the September 2025 Bar Examinations. In a ceremony at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, PA chief Lt. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete said the passing of their six personnel highlights the "institution's commitment to intellectual rigor and legal competence alongside military professionalism."

According to Philippines News Agency, Nafarrete also highlighted the role of lawyer-soldiers in ensuring that military operations remain firmly grounded in the rule of law. He emphasized the importance of legal expertise within the military framework.

Feted were Lt. Col. Leonidas Buriel, Lt. Col. Lenell Abing Lacson, Maj. John Paul Belleza, Maj. Allen Mark Tacorda, Cpl. Michelle Lania, and Samantha Louise Guevara, a civilian employee of the PA. Each of these individuals has contributed to the Army's mission by ensuring that operations are conducted within legal and ethical boundaries.

"You are guardians of justice within the profession of arms. Your role is vital in upholding the rule of law, protecting rights, and ensuring that our actions and decisions are anchored in legality, ethics, and honor," Nafarrete said.

A total of 5,594 examinees passed the September 2025 Bar Examinations.
