AirAsia X Unveils Direct Kuala Lumpur-Trkiye Flights

Kuala lumpur: AirAsia X (AAX) has just launched direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Trkiye, expanding travel options for Filipinos aiming to reach Istanbul. This new route underscores the airline’s dedication to enhancing its long-haul travel offerings and broadening global accessibility.

According to Philippines News Agency, the launch on November 14 reflects AirAsia’s commitment to increasing its long-haul footprint. “Trkiye represents a strong and dynamic market with immense potential for both leisure and business travel. This new route not only enhances our network connectivity between Southeast Asia and Eurasia but also reinforces our position as a key player in affordable long-haul travel,” stated Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Capital A executive chairman.

Ambassador Emir Salim Yksel of the Republic of Trkiye to Malaysia emphasized the significance of the new route, stating, “I believe that this bridge between Kuala Lumpur and Sabiha G¶k§en International Airport will serve not only to the development of Trkiye-Malaysia relations but also to the enhancement of a broader perspective of global connectivity.”

Additionally, travelers from the Philippines have the option to fly to Kuala Lumpur via Manila or Cebu, both offering 14 flights weekly, to connect to Istanbul. AAX offers four weekly flights to Istanbul, the airline confirmed.
