Soccsksargen: Police in Soccsksargen arrested 71 wanted individuals, including 31 drug suspects, during a daylong operation conducted Wednesday across the region, the Police Regional Office in Soccsksargen (PRO-12) reported.
According to Philippines News Agency, in a statement Thursday, PRO-12 Director Brig. Gen. Arnold Ardiente said the operations, which spanned North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and the cities of Kidapawan, Tacurong, Koronadal, and General Santos, also led to the confiscation of 564 grams of shabu worth an estimated PHP3.8 million.
Eight of those arrested were listed as the region’s most wanted persons, five were classified as most wanted at the provincial level, and 46 were municipal-level targets.
The operation also targeted loose firearms, resulting in the confiscation of 34 assorted weapons and the arrest of one individual.
‘This is a result of our intensified efforts to combat all forms of criminality in the region, which demonstrate our unyielding dedication and commitment to creating a peaceful community in Soccsksargen,’ Ardiente said.
