Cebu City: Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) household beneficiaries in Central Visayas with pregnant members or children aged 0 to 2 are called to update their household profiles through the i-Registro platform as a requirement for additional aid this year, an official announced on Tuesday. Shalaine Marie Lucero, Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Central Visayas, stated that this update is in preparation for the nationwide implementation of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants this year.

According to Philippines News Agency, DSWD-7 data indicates that as of January 9, a total of 13,806 4Ps beneficiaries who are no older than 2 years old have been updated and are eligible for the FIKD conditional cash grants. The i-Registro, or the Dynamic Social Registry (DSR), is designed to expedite the profile updating of expectant women and children in 4Ps households through digital and self-service platforms.

“Through the i-Registro, 4Ps beneficiaries can conveniently update their profiles from the comfort of their homes. They can also upload supporting documents online and receive notifications via text or email about the status of their updates within minutes. For those 4Ps beneficiaries who have not yet visited their 4Ps City and Municipal Links, they can use the i-Registro platform,” Lucero mentioned in a statement.

Prior to the online platform, beneficiaries updated their information through their 4Ps city or municipal links by filling out the Beneficiary Updating System (BUS) form 5. Lucero emphasized that i-Registro is not meant to replace the traditional pen-and-paper updating process but serves as a digital alternative for those with mobile devices and internet access. Beneficiaries are advised to choose either the manual or digital method to avoid duplication of records.

“We encourage all 4Ps beneficiaries, especially those who have not yet filled out the BUS form 5, to utilize the i-Registro as an alternative, innovative, and self-service platform to update their profiles for the implementation of F1KD,” Lucero urged.

The i-Registro platform is integrated with the Philippine National Identification System and the 4Ps database, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and integrity. It is accessible through https://iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph. The DSWD conditional grant under FIKD aims to address significant gaps in maternal and child health, such as inadequate prenatal care and nutritional deficiencies, which can lead to stunted growth and developmental delays in children.

Launched in 2008 and institutionalized in 2019 through Republic Act No. 11310 or the 4Ps Act, the program provides subsidies to identified poor households. These subsidies include education grants for children to complete elementary and senior high school, health grants, and rice subsidies.
