Turkiye Advances to FIVB Men’s World Championship Quarterfinals for First Time

Pasay city: Trkiye defeated the Netherlands, 27-29, 25-23, 25-16, 25-19, Saturday to secure a quarterfinal berth in the FIVB Men’s World Championship at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. According to Philippines News Agency, opposite Adis Lagumdzija scored 28 points, including 25 attacks, while outside hitter Ramazan Efe Mandiraci added 15 points as the world No. 14 Turkish team notched its fourth consecutive win. Additional contributions came from outside hitter Mirza Lagumdzija and middle blocker Bedirhan Bulbul, who chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively.
