Ilocos norte: The Ilocos Norte provincial government and Alba Renewables Philippines Corp have signed a lease agreement for a 100-hectare hybrid renewable energy plant at the Dungon-Dungon estate in Bangui and Burgos. According to Philippines News Agency, the agreement was finalized after an eight-month feasibility study, as stated by Andres Martin Buldu, chief development officer of Alba Renewables Philippines Corporation. Maritime Cops Rescue 12 People Off Zamboanga City

Zamboanga city: Maritime police officers have rescued 12 people, including six children, early Monday after they received a distress call from a drifting motorboat off this city. Capt. Allan Pesta±as, boat officer of the Zamboanga City Maritime Police Station (ZC MARPSTA), said the stranded passengers were rescued around 1:45 a.m. in the waters off Barangay Ayala, this city. BTr Fully Awards Treasury Bills Amid Lower Auction Rates

Manila: The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has fully awarded bids for Treasury bills (T-bills) during the auction held on Monday. The 91-, 182-, and 364-day T-bills achieved average rates of 5.046 percent, 5.222 percent, and 5.376 percent, respectively. These rates are lower than those recorded in the previous auction and the prevailing secondary market rates.
