Dagupan city: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Dagupan City is actively conducting a motorcycle plate releasing caravan across various locations to tackle the backlog in plate distribution. Iloilo: A new agri-food commodity hub will soon rise in the municipality of New Lucena, Iloilo, to help market and process various agricultural products in Panay. Larry Nacionales, chairman of the Panay Organization for Progressive Agriculture (POPA) Agriculture Cooperative, said in a phone interview on Tuesday that the hub is one of the major programs of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to establish food terminals that help farmers sell and process their commodities. Negros oriental: The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Oriental has successfully distributed approximately 96% of government land to beneficiaries under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), a department official announced. According to Philippines News Agency, DAR-Negros Oriental chief Manuel Galon highlighted that this achievement encompasses the issuance of individual land titles through Project SPLIT (Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling). “Under our land transfer program, our total scope in Negros Oriental is some 130,000 hectares of government land and our total balance now is at 2,600 hectares,” Galon stated.
