Five Major Routes to Baguio Reopen, Kennon Road Remains Shut

Baguio: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Thursday advised Baguio-bound motorists that five major roads damaged by past weather disturbances are now passable. According to Philippines News Agency, the DPWH-Cordillera announced that the roads now open to vehicular traffic include Marcos Highway, Baguio-Bauang Road (Naguilian), Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-La Union Road, Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road, and Baguio-Bontoc Road. The DPWH reported that Kennon Road, another significant route to Baguio City, remains closed. The closure is due to the risk of rockfall and soil collapse.
