Sorsogon City: A 21-year-old man in possession of more than PHP2 million worth of suspected drugs was arrested on Tuesday in a buy-bust operation in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon province, the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) said. Manila: A total of 2,155 registered rice farmers in this city can now claim their PHP7,000 cash assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA) under its Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RCEF-RFFA) program. In an interview on Tuesday, Laoag City agriculturist Sheila Marie Opelac said the farmer-beneficiaries should use their intervention monitoring cards to check and withdraw the amount through any BancNet automated teller machine. Butuan City: The Police Regional Office in the Caraga Region (PRO-13) reported the arrest of 1,269 fugitives during intensified manhunt operations conducted from January to May this year.
