Davao City: The City Engineer’s Office (CEO) reported on Thursday that a total of 740 infrastructure projects have been completed across Davao City from 2020 to 2024. City Engineer Joseph Dominic Felizarta said the completed city-funded projects include roads, highways, bridges, irrigation systems, canals, laterals, public buildings, and other structures in both urban centers and remote areas. According to Philippines News Agency, the CEO completed 150 projects in 2020, 162 in 2021, 125 in 2022, 146 in 2023, and 157 in 2024. Felizarta stated that these projects are spread all over the city, including far-flung barangays, to ensure equitable development.

Quezon City: The Quezon City government has recorded 12 deaths due to dengue from Jan. 1 to March 5, 2025, marking a 500 percent increase from the two fatalities recorded in the city in the same period last year. Manila: The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to start on Friday the four-day drainage construction activities along a portion of the second lane of R. Magsaysay Boulevard – Westbound in Sta. Mesa, Manila. According to Philippines News Agency, the DPWH-North Manila District Engineering Office announced in a social media post on Thursday that the works will commence at 10 p.m. on March 7 and are expected to conclude by March 11. The construction activities will affect a three-meter stretch of the westbound lane, although the remaining portions will still be accessible to all types of vehicles.
