Manila: The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said over PHP1.3 billion worth of coins have been deposited through its coin deposit machines (CoDM). As of Feb. 15 this year, the total coin collection amounted to PHP1.308 billion. The amount is equivalent to 326.18 million pieces of coins from 299,457 transactions. Tugunan: Military authorities are closely monitoring a clash between two Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) groups in Tugunan town, Special Geographic Area-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM), sparked by a ‘rido’ or clan war on Monday morning. Manila: The government successfully raised PHP22 billion from its latest Treasury bills (T-bills) auction held on Monday. According to Philippines News Agency, the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) reported that the auction was almost four times oversubscribed, drawing in a total of PHP85.5 billion in tenders. This reflects strong investor interest in government securities. Specifically, tenders for the 91-day T-bills amounted to PHP37.48 billion, with the yield settling at 5.283 percent, from which the BTr accepted PHP7 billion.
