BACOLOD: Two residents of this city were arrested Friday morning during a buy-bust that yielded PHP3.4 million in shabu in Purok Kabuhi, Barangay 10, a report of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) showed. The suspects were identified as alias ‘John,’ 29, an electric tricycle driver, and ‘Ellan,’ 36, a construction worker. Minutes before 6 a.m., ‘John’ sold a sachet of shabu worth PHP1,000 to an undercover policeman. ‘This resulted in the swift apprehension of both suspects by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU),’ the BCPO report said. Manila: The Council for Women and Children (CWC) on Friday emphasized the necessity of equipping parents with the knowledge to protect their children from various harms, especially online abuses and violence. According to Philippines News Agency, as part of the National Children’s Month (NCM) celebration, CWC Executive Director and Undersecretary Angelo Tapales announced plans for a conference aimed at helping parents better shield their children.
